Youth Ministry: At New life Baptist Church, our youth are very important to our church. They are actively involved in every aspect of the church ministry so that they are able to live out the knowledge they gain from the Bible teaching we emphasize. The Bible is the foundation for our youth ministry. They meet together for Sunday School and for Wednesday evening. At this time our youth classes and Wednesday meeting include all those from 7th grade through 12th grades. Sunday School: Sunday School is a time for hands on interactive learning of the truths of God’s Word. The Youth Sunday School classes are for those in 7th through 12th grades and are divided into a classes for young men and for young ladies. The classes focus on Bible Books as well as Bible doctrines and topics particularly relevant to the current time. The classes are led by a Godly man for the young men and a Godly lady for the young ladies. The students are given the opportunity to exercise what they learn through various activities in our church. Wednesday Evening: Wednesday night is an exciting time for the Youth at New Life Baptist Church. They meet together at 6:45 PM for singing, fellowship, a challenge from the Bible and some fun time with games indoors and outdoors. The Race! Tired! Frustrated! Then come & be part of the race as we look to the Word of God as our training manual to knowing and growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as not only our Savior, but also our Lord. Here you will find answers to life problems that will help you mature & be the person God intended you to be. The Pit Stop! Pull aside & enjoy some fun & memory makers as you participate in games that will have you in stitches without seeing a doctor. Be a part of having the type of fun that will not compromise your Christian walk but creates lasting friendships & hilarious moments. The Finish Line! We all want to have purpose in life & make a difference. Take what you learn in Sunday school & our Wednesday night club time, and be not only “hearers” of the Word but “doers” also. Find joy & happiness as you serve others in various outreaches. Youth Camp: The youth at New Life Baptist Church go each summer to Southland Christian Camp in Ringgold, LA. The youth go to camp during the weeks for those from 7th grade through graduating seniors. In 2010 the youth weeks for our going to camp are yet to be determined. "Southland utilizes the unique influence of the camping ministry to serve local churches by challenging every camper to conform to the character of Christ, through salvation, obedience to God’s Word, and surrender to faithful service." Camp time is a time of fun and Spiritual refreshment. Our campers accompanied by responsible adults always return with joy in their hearts looking forward to serving Christ “back home” and going back to camp next year. The 2010 camp theme is Frontier Frenzy: Saddle up, and hang on ‘cause yer in fer a wild adventure as the two most famous wagon trains that ever ventured ‘cross a prairie, the Rut Runners and the Wagon Wheelers, embark on their passage west. Pull up yer bootstraps... don’t be a yellow belly, and prepare to make yer way over the lake on the 600’ Gator Glide, team up to maneuver through Copperhead Cove, plaster them pesky prospectors with paintball pellets, enjoy challenging games that will test any tenderfoot, wacky western comedy, gobs o’ good grub, and a passel o’ fun for all. We’ll circle the wagons for some good ol’ fashioned camp meetings with Christ-honoring music and powerful Bible preachin’. Don’t get left in the dust.
