Sunday School:
New Life Baptist Church features 3 classes for children from Pre-school through 6th grade. The Pre-Primary class is for those ages 4 through 5 (not yet in 1st grade). The Primary class is for those in 1st through 3rd grades. The Junior class is for those in 4th through 6th grades. Each class has dedicated teachers using visual, hands-on methods to teach Bible principles for life. Children’s Church:
Children’s church is for our children from 2 years old to those in 3rd grades meeting during the regular worship time at 10:30 Sunday morning. The 2 and 3 year old children meet each Sunday. Yes, even these little ones can learn the truths of God and His word. Exciting, active hands-on lessons teach our littlest ones about the true God who loves the little children. The Pre-primary and Primary age children meet each Sunday except the first Sunday each month. They assemble together for music then separate into 2 age group divisions for Bible lessons, games and missionary stories. Master Clubs: Master Clubs teaches Godly character traits like…obedience, honesty and respect. The Pre-schoolers are the Little Lambs and Little Shepherds. The children can earn 23 badges and 10 ribbons while memorizing 60 Bible verses.
The first through third graders are the Lookouts, Spotters and Scouts. During those years each child can earn 42 badges and 6 ribbons while memorizing over 60 verses.
Children in fourth through sixth grades are the Ambassadors for Christ. They begin to unlock key Bible principles and learn practical ways to grow in their discipleship. With over 90 badges to earn and 90 verses to learn, thy will be motivated to study the Bible and develop Godly
Master Club also sponsors several regional rallies each year for the children to compete in Bible learning and other athletic games. To learn more about Master Clubs click on www.masterclubs.org Junior Camp: Each year our 3rd through 6th grade boys and girls go to camp at Southland Christian Camp in Ringgold, Louisiana. Dates for our Juniors’ going to camp are yet to be announced. We will update this information when we have determined those dates.
"Southland utilizes the unique influence of the camping ministry to serve local churches by challenging every camper to conform to the character of Christ, through salvation, obedience to God’s Word, and surrender to faithful service." Camp time is a time of fun and Spiritual refreshment. Our campers accompanied by responsible adults always return with joy in their hearts looking forward to serving Christ “back home” and going back to camp next year. The 2010 camp theme is Frontier Frenzy:
Saddle up, and hang on ‘cause yer in fer a wild adventure as the two most famous wagon trains that ever ventured ‘cross a prairie, the Rut Runners and the Wagon Wheelers, embark on their passage west. Pull up yer bootstraps... don’t be a yellow belly, and prepare to make yer way over the lake on the 600’ Gator Glide, team up to maneuver through Copperhead Cove, plaster them pesky prospectors with paintball pellets, enjoy challenging games that will test any tenderfoot, wacky western comedy, gobs o’ good grub, and a passel o’ fun for all. We’ll circle the wagons for some good ol’ Summer Choir: Each Summer several of our musically talented members lead our children in First through Sixth grades in learning great songs and learning how to sing as a group. The songs are selected for their Biblical truths and that children will enjoy. They present their songs in some of the services of the church. This is also a time for spiritual growth as Bible lessons are taught with the songs. Vacation Bible School: Vacation Bible School is an exciting week of enthusiastic Bible teaching, skits, puppets, refreshments and games all used in the teaching of God’s Word. Our classes include those for ages 2 and 3, pre-school, those having completed 1st through 3rd grades, and those having completed 4th through 6th grades. |
