Sunday School: The Adult Sunday School classes meet each Sunday at 9:15. The Adults currently are divided into 3 groups: Those who are attending college or are out of high school and beginning a career meet with the College and Career class. Bro John Perez teaches the class. They study the Bible relating it to their daily lives as young adults. Most of those in the class are also quite active in the ministry at New Life Baptist Church. Of course some of our young adults are away in college during the school year, but return for the summer. Pastor Lewis teaches “Young Married Class” for young adults who are recently married or who still have younger children at home. His class strives to instruct in marriage relationships, child rearing and important Biblical principles needed for families. All the teaching is based on the Word of God and so is always relevant. Associate Pastor Woolery’s class consists of the other adults in the church. The group includes those who still have children at home as well as empty nesters and seniors. His teaching focuses on Books of the Bible, the lives of those in the Bible and topics that are important for us to learn. Certainly those lessons are applicable to our lives given us “for an ensample.” Jackie Woolery teaches a “Ladies Class” who call themselves Women of the Word. They study Bible truths especially related to women of today. There is time for questions and for discussions. Sometimes all the adult classes meet together to hear a special speaker with a message all of us need to hear.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast: James 5:16 b says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” The men of the church meet the second Saturday morning of each month to pray for church needs, individual needs, our missionaries and our governmental needs. The breakfast time is a great time of fellowship around a specially prepared breakfast for men who are so busy during the week. At New Life Baptist Church we believe God does hear and answer prayer.
Ladies Bible Study and Fellowship: The women of New Life Baptist Church meet the first Monday of the month (September through June) for Bible Study and Fellowship. The topic of study for 2009 through June 2010 is “Weighed By The Word.” Several of the ladies in the church take turns leading each session. Of course the time is also for some great fellowship and some light snacks.
Ladies Retreat: The Ladies Retreat at New Life Baptist Church is perhaps their most anticipated event each year. They usually go in the early Spring to some remote place for some time of Bible Study, games, rest, food and great fellowship. The time is a time for getting better acquainted with their God and with each other. The ladies went to El Shaddai Ranch Christian Retreat Center in Yorktown, TX in 2008, 2009 and plan to return again in 2010.

Faith Bible Institute: One of the greatest blessings of God for New Life Baptist Church is Faith Bible Institute. We began using this God-blessed program in 2003. We will graduate our 5th class in 2010. Should you wish to enroll in the Spring Semester of 2010, contact Bro John Woolery by January 18, 2010. Classes begin on that date and you can enroll at that time. We are still considering which elective we will offer in the Summer of 2010.

School Format The 3 year course is divided into 6 semesters of 17 - 18 weeks each (plus optional Electives). Live classes are filmed at FBI's central location (Rowland Road Baptist Church, Monroe, LA) and are then viewed by DVD Video at Satellite Schools throughout the U.S. and Internationally.

What is Faith Bible Institute? 
Courses are on a college freshman & sophomore level. A High School diploma is not required to enroll. Anyone 12th grade and older may enroll. Those with advanced degrees may also enroll. Click below for detailed information
